Sardinia

I'll be staying on Sardinia, which is the second largest island in the Mediterranean, it is a very popular place for fishing and is very beautiful.

Introduction

So, I'm Carissa McGrath, I'm 16 years old and I'm going to Italy in a foreign exchange program. I leave the 28th of January and I get back the 5th of July. I'm so excited.

So far I have already had to go through the Visa process, which was very nerve-wracking and very time consuming. I am also packed and have everything that I think I'll need.

I'm going to be staying with a single woman who's name is Rita, I have been in contact with her and her niece Nicole, and I can't wait to meet them. They both live on the island of Sardinia which is to the West of the mainland. The weather is similar to Southern California, which is going to be great for me, the desert rat, haha. Rita is a certified scuba diver, she sails and she does other water sports. So I'll always have something to do.

I'll be going to school while I'm there and I'll be taking intensive Italian classes, which I'm really looking forward to.

I know I'm leaving a lot of people that care about me, but just remember if I've said I love you, I mean it!
So to all my friends, no worries.
Also to family and family friends, I'll miss you guys just as much as I'll miss my friends.
